Interactive Information is a limited company registered in Scotland (Company registration SC 150689). The company was formed in 1994 by a group of researches at Edinburgh University. The three directors have over 50 years of experience in software development and research in Artifical Intelligence, Psychology and Human Computer Interaction (HCI), and have published scores of research papers.

The company uses open source software, both in its own operations and on behalf of clients, and the directors have actively contributed to public domain and open source software projects.
