Software developed by II allows PATSy users to autonomously contribute their own cases and add data to existing cases.
We deployed existing software for
- supporting login sessions (with configurable restrictions on allowed hosts and session idle time).
- page templating, providing a structured interface for upload multimedia files to the main web server.
We developed new in-browser software for
- "clipboard" style manipulation media objects (images, video clips) held on the server
- previewing HTML table designs
- entering special characters, such as 'International Phonetic Alphabet' (IPA) characters, using an on-screen "keyboard". IPA is invaluable for providing accurate transcriptions of speech from people with language production problems, and it would be extremely difficult for an end-user to achieve this without II's interface and software.
